    Dear Annie & Bernnie,

I hope to make a visit to your most wonderful camp for some great fishing this summer. Our numerous trips have always been the BEST fishing for Bass and Walley in seveal lakes in the Longlac area. Bernnie’s special directions on where to enjoy fabulous Smallmouth Bass fishing proved to be the most exciting fishing ever. But my brother Bob Day stated his most exciting fishing was catching unbelievable numbers of walley while having the lake all to ourselves. Now that is fishing!
Bernnie & Annie had to venture out once to retrieve G & Darrell Day when they were marooned several miles away from camp. Boy was it a joy to see their big bass boat to bring us back to camp. All they said was, “We are glad you are alright”. They are the best people to run a camp and take suck good care of their guests.

Please note Bernnie has the newest and cleanest Fish House there is. That is nice!

    See you this summer,
    Garry, Bob and Darrell Day

I will be coming to Northwood Lodging in Longlac for the first time in mid June. We are coming with a couple of guys who go there almost every year to walleye fish, which is great with me. I love to eat walleye, but I love even more to catch smallmouth bass. Just how good is the bass fishing and how far from camp do you need to go to get there. Also, what lures do they use in the area?
Crankbaits, soft plastics or what. Just curious so I know what to bring and don’t bring way too much. We are really excited to come and can’t wait until June gets here. Also, are there any issues with black flies or any other biting pests? Thanks for any info you can give. Good luck when you go back!

I’m not sure there are words to describe just how incredible our annual trip to Longlac was this year. We decided to go for two weeks instead of just the normal one week. What a blessing that turned out to be. We caught more fish, bigger fish, and just plain had more fun than any trip I have ever been on.
Bernie and Annie are both so friendly, and truly care about their customers enjoyment, that they go way out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Each time I go to Northwood Lodging, I feel more like family than a guest. We have booked for another two weeks next year, and are hoping that may turn into a month instead.
Thank you to both of you for what may well be the trip of a lifetime. I will be telling all the sportsmen and women I know about your lodge, and do all I can to help others book a trip they’ll remember for a lifetime also.
If anyone wants to contact me about my experiences fishing the Longlac area lakes and rivers, you can contact me at walleyeman55@yahoo.com.
